Halifax is part of the Lloyds Banking Group which recently set aside £3.2 billion earlier in 2011 – ready for everybody to start reclaiming Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) from Halifax
Halifax is a trading name of HBOS (Halifax and Bank of Scotland), which itself became part of the UK’s largest banking group (Lloyds Banking Group) in January 2009. Halifax is the UK’s largest provider of residential mortgages and saving accounts, but they also offer other products ranging from loans to credit cards and insurance products. In the 1st 6 months of 2010 the Financial Ombudsman Service reported that the Bank of Scotland (which Halifax is part of) was the 3rd most complained about finance company in the UK, receiving 6,211 complaints. 23% of all complaints to the Ombudsman Service were ruled in favour of the customer.
If you have a Loan, Credit Card or Mortgage with Halifax then you may also have a Halifax PPI Policy. Based on UK figures there is a large chance you could have been mis sold your Halifax PPI Policy.
We understand that a lot of people making a PPI reclaim about Halifax still owe money to them. A large percentage is struggling to repay Halifax loans and overdrafts and credit cards. If you are receiving nasty telephone calls from Halifax and/ or threatening letters from Halifax then a Debt Management Plan may be able to help you. We work with a debt management company who could help you stop harassment over Halifax loans and Halifax overdrafts as well as work to freeze unfair charges from Halifax and high interest rates.
